Sailing Adventure on Aquila, a Pogo 40

Come out for a daysail aboard the Aquila!  She's a fast and fun sailing machine, with room for 10 in sunny Punta Mita.  Punta Mita is a perfect place for sailing as the winds build up every afternoon, but Bandaras Bay protects the waters from uncomfortable waves.

A sailing charter usually starts around 1 pm and goes until sunset.  Your captain, Christian, will handle all aspects of the boat, but is willing to teach you the basics of sailing, and also will be looking for interesting wildlife.  Every group is different and we can customize the trip to suit your needs or wants.

Kids love sailing, and learning how the wind makes a boat work.  Captain Christian is happy to teach young mariners the ropes.

From mid-December to April the Humpback Whales come to Punta Mita to give birth and mate.  They are often visible from the boat, and Captain Christian has a deep understanding of the whales and loves to tell you about them.

Ask about Tubercles...

The trip usually starts in front of Punta Mita, so it is a beach pick up, which means that the captain will pick you up from a spot on the beach and bring you to the boat.  Once aboard Aquila, we go sailing, and then at sunset we bring you back to the beach.

Our goal onboard the Aquila is to give you an experience you won't forget.  Quiet smooth navigation over the ocean is rare in this day of constant motor noise, and we try to slow life down a bit, with a full afternoon of 5-6 hours of sailing and a view of the sunset from the water.

Because everyone has different dietary needs, we encourage you to bring your own food and drinks.

The price for a daysail charter is $600 USD for the boat.  The boat can hold up to 10 people.

Overnight charters are also available.

Please Call 1-206-370-4715  or email christian.d.lloyd@gmail.com for more information or to book a charter.  We prefer to have a phone call before the day of the sail to make sure everyone understands what to expect and how to meet up.
